I love getting emails from that fat-ass sumo Neville. Not just because he is the best Kopywriter around (Neville is a copywriter, entrepreneur, and party crasher… most known for kopy.tv, AppSumo, NevBlog), but they also provide value.
His latest post was about goals, so I thought I’d share. First let’s start with a visual… this is a screenshot of the actual email he sent:
So take Neville’s advice and write down your monthly goals! If you didn’t create or write down May goals, it’s not too late! Also, put a reminder or event in your calendar right now for May 31st to create and write your June goals. Here is some advice on how to do it:
1. Keep it limited to 3 main things. Anymore and you might overload yourself and not complete ANY of them.
2. Keep them visible, so they stare you in the face. Online, your phone, wall, desk, steering wheel, whatever.
3. Try working on just one at a time. Maybe each for a week.
If you want to see some good examples, check out Neville’s blog here http://www.nevblog.com/category/goals/
PS. Neville is the one who turned me onto Earl Nightingale… check out this post if you haven’t seen it yet.
